Designing clear, usable services in complex environments

I’m Steve Fox, a Senior / Lead UX Designer with over 15 years of experience designing digital products and services across government and private sector work. I specialise in turning complexity into clear, usable experiences, particularly in regulated, high-stakes and operationally demanding environments.

I’ve worked across public and private sector, fintech, e-commerce and enterprise, helping organisations simplify complex journeys, reduce friction, and create and deliver effective digital products through solid UCD practice.

My work spans end-to-end service design, interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, usability testing and design systems. I’m particularly interested in projects where design can reduce friction, improve decision-making and make complex systems easier to use for the people who rely on them every day.
